2026 Everywhere Science Summer Camps

Everywhere Science will once again be holding our Science Film Stop-Motion Animation Summer Camp and Newscast Camp in 2026! Registration is now open, and we look forward to taking some amazing filmmaking journeys with all of our 2026 campers!

Dates and Schedules:

Each camp session is one week long and the cost is $375 per session for Sessions 1 and 2 and $325 for the 4-day Session 3. The camp day is a half day and lasts from 8:30am until 12:00pm. Campers must be entering 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th grade in the Fall of 2026. We are offering three sessions:

Session 1: June 15-19 Newscast Camp

Session 2: June 22-26 Stop-Motion Animation Camp 

Session 3: June 29- July 2 Stop-Motion Animation Camp (note that Friday, July 3 is a holiday and this camp is a 4-day camp recommended for returning campers or campers with some previous stop-motion familiarity)

Campers are welcome to sign up for multiple weeks.

Location:

Camp is located at our production studio which is at 720 Olive Drive, Suite N, in Davis. This is right across the parking lot from the Rocknasium if you are familiar with that location.

The Camp Experience:

For Stop-Motion Camp, each day, campers will learn different parts of the stop-motion animation process as they work together to produce short video projects that are all in the theme of environmental science. They will be working with professional cameras, lights, green screens, audio equipment, and computer editing workstations. They will also be sculpting with clay, painting and drawing – so they should wear clothes that can get dirty! In addition to learning stop-motion production techniques, the campers will be building their understanding of environmental science. The topics of the videos we make may include things like climate change, pollution, deforestation, coral bleaching – this will be up to the campers!

For Newscast Camp, campers will be writing, directing, filming, editing, and starring in their very own television news production. They will also build a set, make costumes, and figure out creative ways to deliver a newscast. We are excited to see what they come up with to make this collaborative effort a reality!
